Hey
Reader,
We've just had another full moon 🌝 a powerful time to let go of what is no longer serving you!
Letting go has been a big theme for me the last few days (and the whole year really!) Today is my final day in New Zealand for about 5 months. I was a little nervous to come back this time, its the first time I would be living here single, moving back to a city I lived in a few years ago and without stable accommodation or income. But you know what? Its been my FAVOURITE 6 months in New Zealand (so far!)
The less we cling to the things that are no longer serving us, the more space we create for aligned people, opportunities & experiences to enter our world. And that is exactly what I have experienced!
What are you ready to release? What are you creating space to call in?
Create your best life!
Because it is a CREATION. You get to choose what to focus on, what to move towards, what to learn, where to go.
Yes there are external forces that can help or hinder us, but where are you letting barriers be created where they don't need to be? Where are you telling yourself its too hard, going to take too much effort, you don't have enough time or money? Theres not much that can stop you when you are committed to creating your dream life. Does it really have to cost a lot to start? Probably not. Does it have to take up ALL your time? No, even 10 minutes per day dedicated to making change is amazing.
In 2021 I reduced my 8-4 hours to a 9 day fortnight, having every other Friday off work. I used this time to prioritise my wellness and do my holistic health coaching training. It made a HUGE difference!!!
This enabled me to quit my 9-5 job almost 2 years ago. I saved enough money to be able to support myself for a few years, I reduced my expenses as much as possible and I gave myself the time freedom to create the business I knew would change my life and the lives of others 🧚🏼♀️
I still don’t earn as much as I did in my 9-5 job, but I know I will (and some) 🙊 and I’ll always be so grateful for the younger version of me that believed in myself and took the steps to create the life I’ve always wanted. And although I currently earn less, I don't let it stop me AND I feel more abundant than ever!!
I read a a thought experiment this week in an email from Ben Meer (he sends weekly emails on systems thinking for smart living that I enjoy!) It said...
"What would you do—right now—if a documentary crew was following you around?"
And it made me think what WOULD people do? You probably wouldn't want to be seen sitting on your phone for hours, watching TV, doing the chores or just work, eating, sleeping. You would probably feel inspired to live your best life!?! To do healthy habits, to go do the thing you've been wanting to do, eat the good food, take the risk!!!! You might even say more jokes, promote laughter, do good deeds and if you did do these... you'd probably feel a lot happier. So why don't you give it a go?
Its not to say that every day has to be exciting and its not about showing off or pleasing others, but why not allow yourself to have more fun? to motivate yourself to do what you really want to do? to live by your values? to do what MATTERS to you?
I'd love to hear if you give it a go!!! It inspired me to do a day in the life vlog for my final day in New Zealand which I posted yesterday... with one of my closest friends narrating it guessing what I was doing - definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it already, it will give you a giggle!!!!
The pod 🎙️
I've been putting off recording for weeks, but I was recording my day yesterday so motivated me to do it ;) its all about LETTING GO and how this creates space for the new, supports you in reaching your full potential and feel FREE!
I had to let go of perfectionism in posting this!!! There's more I could say, probably "better" ways to say it, but you know what... DONE is better than perfect and I know there will be people that get so much value from listening!!!
Lets celebrate!
This week I'm celebrating my internal growth. I received some "negative" feedback on my social media this week, and it honestly didn't phase me. Sure, I felt a little weird when I first read it, but that was all. A few years ago, or even last year, I would have felt really dis-regulated, I would have questioned myself, my worth, spent so much time overthinking and physically would have felt like I was in fight or flight. This is because I have worked on regulating my nervous system, I am confident in who I am and what I share and I know what others feel about me says way more about them than it does me.
Did I learn something from the feedback? YES, it inspired a few things I could do differently and for that I am grateful. But it didn't make me question myself, it actually made me want to share EVEN MORE of myself.
There will always be people who don't like what you do, don't let it stop you. You're not meant for everyone, but you will find the people that are meant for you when you are being and showing your true self.
Client celebrations 💗: "Effy has helped me to share my voice, being more comfortable having uncomfortable conversations and feeling heard and this in turn is helping me to feel safe... I've been journalling every evening about gratitude, affirmations and receiving. It’s made me so mindful and grateful of everything that happens in a day."
What are you celebrating? What have you received?
This weeks oracle reading is from Alana Fairchild's Sacred Rebels deck:
Its easy to look for the good in positive situations, but how can you look for the light in the dark? Its time to create TRUST in life. Your challenges are portals for growth. Even if your current situation doesn't feel good, know that you are where you are meant to be. The darkness has a purpose (like winter). It is a spiritual test. Stay compassionate!!!
Sending you so much love,
Effy xxx
